Description
Our project gathers 10
primary class teachers with the similar pedagogical needs and the same
educational goals, clearly specified in their management plans: developing
innovative methods, strengthening the profile of the teaching profession. We aim
at improving the quality of teaching by delivering high quality methods and
adopting new ICT tools.
Therefore, we will offer attractive forms of learning to
meet the students’ needs about coding and expectations about robot, promote
coding, computer technologies, good social communication, positive attitude and
behaviour to raise our pupils’ knowledge.
The 5-10 age of 300 children is very important in learning a
alghoritmic thinking as a second language. By starting at an early age pupils
will get the widest possible set of benefits and opportunities. It gives them
greater confidence, bigger view of the world and better educational results.
The idea of the project comes from the now-common notion
that students seem to be uninterested in gaining knowledge and developing their
coding skills.
A large number of pupils surveyed have no interest in
involving actively in school life and their own development as adults. Though
the curricula are respected, the tools used in teaching seem to be old
fashioned and uncreative. So, our project responds to our school requests and
will give us the opportunity to learn coding as in real life situations -
communicating with each other and learning with and from each other.
Project-based learning is undoubtedly an excellent tool to develop a wide range
of pupil competences and foster global collaboration. Our students will have
the possibility of improving their algoritmic thinking, coding skills, creating
games, sending emails. Our goal is to popularize and make Code attractive to the
youngest generation- our pupils. Our pupils will also promote their work,
gaining valuable entrepreneurship skills in addition to real-world
collaboration experience.
